About

I am a Colombian biologist and microbiologist with a Master's degree in Entomology from the University of Florida, specializing in the ecology of vector-borne diseases. My research background includes the ecology and taxonomy of disease vectors, with a focus on Chagas disease, leishmaniasis, and dengue.

My work is driven by curiosity and a commitment to translate ecological insights into effective public health solutions. At the Florida Medical Entomology Laboratory, my research on mosquito biting behavior and dengue transmission dynamics is focused on understanding the core drivers of disease spread. My goal is to contribute to the development of novel and sustainable control strategies that are grounded in a deep understanding of the complex ecology of vectors, pathogens, and their hosts.
